ICONLOOP is stepping up in the fight against COVID-19.

The blockchain company announced Thursday that it would support for free its VisitMe visitor management solution until the end of the pandemic.

VisitMe eliminates the need for manually entered visitor logs. The digital solution records visitor information using a QR code without the need for a separate app. This not only eliminates the need to touch pens, interact with front desk personnel or engage in other activities that could expose you to infectious diseases such as COVID-19, but also frees visitors from revealing personal information that can be leaked or misused.

ICONLOOP plans to provide free support for VisitMe to all buildings in South Korea that apply for the service. The campaign, which will run until the end of the pandemic, will especially help smaller workplaces having difficulty quickly responding to government quarantine guidelines calling on businesses to maintain admission logs.

ICONLOOP CEO JH Kim said VisitMe would play an important role in not only combatting COVID-19, but also in the transition to a contactless society.

VisitMe is already being used at convenience stores, cafes and hospitals in the greater Seoul area, including one in major commercial districts such as Gangnam, Apgujeong and Hongdae.

ICONLOOP is also talking with local governments to provide similar blockchain-based visitor management solutions to assist in COVID-19 contact tracing.
